A deposit is required to reserve your eBike. The balance will be charged prior to pickup. Your card won’t be charged until you confirm this form.

About Your Deposit

To protect against loss or damage, we place a refundable security deposit on your card when you book. This is a temporary hold, not a charge. The deposit ensures the safe return of your eBike and any included accessories.
  • How it’s calculated: The deposit is the difference between the eBike’s full purchase price and your rental fee.
  • Why it’s needed: It covers loss, damage, or unreturned bikes. If everything is returned in good condition, your deposit is fully released.
  • Return window: Deposits are released back to your card within 7 days of a successful return.
  • If not returned: The deposit is kept, and it’s as if you’ve purchased the eBike.
  • If returned with missing items or damage: We may retain part of the deposit based on our Deposit Policy.

Credit Card Authorization

To confirm your order, we place a temporary hold on your credit card for the deposit amount shown above. This hold helps us ensure bikes are returned safely, and nothing is charged unless needed.

By entering your card details and submitting this form, you are authorizing Playa eBikes® to place a refundable security deposit hold on your card. Here’s what that means:

  • This is not a charge, just a temporary hold — like when you check into a hotel.
  • The amount held is based on the eBike’s full value minus your rental fee.
  • If the bike is returned on time, with all parts and in good shape, we’ll release the hold within 7 business days.
  • If the bike isn’t returned, or it’s missing parts or damaged, we may keep part or all of the deposit — based on our Deposit Policy.
  • Submitting this form acts as your digital signature and agreement to these terms.

Rentals

I am renting this eBike and included accessories from Playa eBikes® as a walk-up customer. No prior appointment was required.

I acknowledge that I have inspected the eBike(s) and accessories prior to taking possession and confirm that they are in good working condition. Any pre-existing damage or issues must be reported before leaving. By leaving with the rental, I accept its current condition.

I understand that a refundable deposit is required. Playa eBikes® may partially or fully retain this deposit in the event of damage, loss, theft, late return, or failure to return the rented items.

I understand that rentals are provided “as-is.” Once I take possession, all fees are final and non-refundable, except where prohibited by law.

I accept full financial responsibility for the rented eBike(s) and accessories from the moment I take possession until they are returned in acceptable condition.

I release Playa eBikes® from liability for any injuries, accidents, or damages arising from the use of the rented eBike(s) and accessories, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

I have read and agree to the Terms & Conditions and Deposit Policy.

This acknowledgment constitutes a legally binding rental contract enforceable under Nevada law. My signature below represents my full agreement to these terms.

Purchase

I am purchasing this eBike and/or accessories from Playa eBikes® as a walk-up customer and taking immediate possession at the time of signing.

I acknowledge that I have inspected the product(s) before leaving and accept their current condition. Any issues must be reported before I take possession.

I understand that all sales are final. No refunds, exchanges, or cancellations are available once I have taken possession, except as required by applicable law.

I understand that Playa eBikes® offers a one-year manufacturer warranty on new eBikes, but this warranty is automatically voided if the eBike is used at Burning Man unless I provide verifiable pre-pickup photo/video documentation of a mechanical defect.

I accept full responsibility for safe use, operation, and maintenance of the purchased product(s).

I release Playa eBikes® from liability for any injuries, accidents, or damages resulting from my use of the purchased eBike(s) and/or accessories, to the maximum extent allowed by law.

This acknowledgment constitutes a legally binding purchase contract enforceable under Nevada law. My signature below represents my full agreement to these terms.

Rental and Purchase

I am simultaneously renting and/or purchasing eBike(s) and/or accessories from Playa eBikes® as a walk-up customer, and I am taking immediate possession of all items.

I acknowledge that I have inspected all items before leaving. Any issues must be reported before I depart. By leaving with the items, I accept their current condition.

For rental items: I agree to the deposit policy, which allows Playa eBikes® to retain part or all of the deposit in the event of loss, theft, damage, or failure to return the items.

For purchased items: I acknowledge that all sales are final, with no refunds, cancellations, or exchanges, except as required by law.

I understand that any eBike taken to Burning Man voids the manufacturer’s warranty unless verifiable pre-pickup photo/video documentation of a defect is provided.

I accept full responsibility for the use, operation, and care of both rented and purchased items.

I release Playa eBikes® from liability for injuries, accidents, or damages arising from use of the eBike(s) or accessories, whether rented or purchased, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

This acknowledgment constitutes a legally binding contract for both rental and purchase, enforceable under Nevada law. My signature below represents my full agreement to these terms.

Accessories Only

I am renting and/or purchasing accessories only from Playa eBikes® as a walk-up customer, and I am taking immediate possession at the time of signing.

I acknowledge that I have inspected the accessory(ies) before leaving and accept their condition. Any pre-existing issues must be reported before I take possession.

I understand that all sales of accessories are final, and no refunds or exchanges will be issued once I leave, except as required by law.

For rental accessories: I agree to the deposit policy and accept full responsibility for returning the accessory(ies) in the same condition as issued. Playa eBikes® may retain part or all of the deposit if accessories are damaged, lost, or not returned.

I accept full responsibility for the safe and proper use of the accessory(ies).

I release Playa eBikes® from liability for injuries, accidents, or damages resulting from my use of the accessory(ies), to the fullest extent permitted by law.

This acknowledgment constitutes a legally binding contract under Nevada law. My signature below represents my full agreement to these terms.


Our RENTAL program

Yes, we rent our eBikes! Please take a moment to read through this entire page carefully.

Our eBikes are brand new. They are waiting for you in their original packaging. (You can request assembly for a very low $25 fee which covers the cost to dispose of the packing materials in a responsible manner). Many Burners cannot bring their eBikes back to their default life. If you wish to rent the eBike, here are the steps and terms/conditions we request you follow:

  1. Pay the eBike Deposit: Choose “Rent” when selecting your product on the product page. The amount at checkout will be the same.
  2. Schedule your Pickup: after submitting the order, you will receive an email with your receipt and a dedicated link to schedule to eBike pickup time
  3. Schedule your return: you will receive an additional email with a dedicated link to schedule your return. 
  4. Get $150 Refund (for the “Eco” and $200 for the “Premium”): We will refund $150 (for the “Eco”) or $200 (for the “Premium) for any eBike that is in proper working order. The playa is hard on everything, we know. But we cannot accept returns that are broken or missing parts. We request you return it with a charge in the battery so we can test it. Also, please remove all lighting and decorations. We reserve the right not to provide a refund based on our inspection of the eBike. By selecting the “Rental Program,” you agree to allow our on-site team member to be the final decision maker in the assessment.
 
We will keep our ears open to news of how Exodus is going. We understand it can be unpredictable. But if you miss your scheduled day and time, we cannot guarantee we will be there to accept your return. You must keep in touch with us.

All Rentals are non-refundable unless expressed otherwise by Playa eBikes in writing. If you fail to bring your eBike back we will keep the deposit paid.
