We’re not a faceless rental company. We’re riders who couldn’t find eBikes built for the Burn — so we made our own, right on the road to the Playa.
I’ve been heading out to the desert for five years now, thanks to my brother Ben — he’s been a camp lead for over a decade. Back in 2022, I noticed more and more folks using electric bikes out there. I’ve always been into bikes and sustainable travel — I opened my first shop in 2019.
When I looked at the bike info page on the event website, there wasn’t anything specific about eBikes.
After that trip, one question stuck in my head: “Where is everyone getting these eBikes from?” Back home, I looked into local shops — there were good ones, but I wanted something different: a brand that spoke to people like us.
That’s how Playa eBikes® came to life. It’s built on values we believe in, and designed for riders who care about more than just the ride.
